He is best known for his performance in the 1990 FIFA World Cup, where he won the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer. Schillaci played as a striker for several Italian clubs, including Juventus and Inter Milan. He also played for the Italian national team from 1989 to 1991, scoring 7 goals in 16 appearances. After retiring from football, Schillaci worked as a television pundit and football commentator for Italian media.
